99 Animals for David Attenborough's 99th birthday

Max, from Pembrokeshire in Wales, UK, is completely obsessed with wildlife - and even more obsessed with the man who’s inspired his love for it all: Sir David Attenborough.
His bedroom is packed with animal toys and encyclopedias, and he’s been known to dress up as Attenborough for World Book Day, complete with safari gear and a serious expression.
So when Sir David’s 99th birthday rolled around, Max created a mega-sized birthday card: eight sheets of hand-drawn animals, from pangolins to peacocks, all carefully researched and colored in with care. The whole project took four days after school to complete, and Max was determined to get every detail just right.

Now, Max’s mom Samantha shared his drawings online, hoping they’ll reach the legendary naturalist himself. And within hours, the post was being shared across the globe and is surely bound to catch the attention of the legendary presenter and nature advocate.
“He’s just so passionate about it,” mom Samantha said. “He even gets angry about ocean plastic and knows what a pangolin is—I didn’t!”
From one nature lover to another, we hope this card finds its way to its rightful recipient. 🌍

How to Talk About Money With Your Partner (Without the Stress)

Let’s be real—money talk with your partner can feel like navigating a minefield with a blindfold. But here’s the truth: learning how to communicate calmly and clearly about finances can actually strengthen your relationship.
According to a 2023 survey by the American Psychological Association, money remains the leading source of stress in relationships. And yet, only 52% of adults reported feeling comfortable discussing financial matters with others.
So how do you bring up money without turning date night into debate night? Here’s how to keep the love—and the bank account—balanced.
💚 The Good: Money Talk Builds Trust
Financial therapist Amanda Clayman says that couples who regularly discuss money feel more aligned and secure. “Talking about money helps create emotional intimacy,” she told The Cut. “It lets us see each other’s values, goals, and even vulnerabilities.”
Research from Kansas State University also shows that couples who argue less about money early on are more likely to stay together long term.

⚠️ The Bad: Avoiding It Can Backfire
Sweeping finances under the rug leads to confusion, resentment, and surprises no one wants (like secret credit card debt or clashing saving styles). A study published in the Journal of Financial Therapy found that couples who avoid money discussions are more likely to experience financial infidelity—a fancy way of saying someone’s hiding spending habits.
💡 Practical Tips to Make It Easier
Pick the right moment. Don’t launch into “the budget talk” mid-Netflix binge. Choose a neutral, calm time—maybe Sunday morning coffee or after a walk.
Start with goals, not guilt. Frame the convo around shared dreams (“Let’s plan our vacation budget”) rather than blame (“Why did you spend $300 on plants?”).
Get curious, not critical. Ask open-ended questions: How did your family talk about money? What makes you feel financially safe?
Use tools to stay organized. Apps like YNAB or GoodBudget can turn big-picture discussions into digestible, visual goals.
Check in regularly. Treat money talks like relationship check-ins—short, monthly chats to stay on the same page.
💬 Bottom line?
Money doesn’t have to be a mood killer. When approached with kindness and curiosity, financial chats can be a pathway to deeper connection—and a shared future that feels safe, secure, and yes, even a little exciting.
